2027 Mustang Mach-E Order Guide: Price Drops, Specs, and the New Trail Edition

2027 Mustang Mach-E Trail
By Tim Bartz

The order banks for the 2027 Ford Mustang Mach-E are officially open. While Ford’s official build and price tool won't be updated until closer to the January production start date, all the details on what’s new, what’s different, and what's changing are already out.

From across-the-board battery upgrades to an exciting new off-road package, here is a complete breakdown of what to expect from the 2027 Mustang Mach-E.

The Big News: Extended Range is Now Standard

The most significant change for 2027 is that Ford has completely dropped the standard range battery. Every single 2027 Mustang Mach-E now comes standard with the Extended Range battery.

Ford achieved this by utilizing a new, more cost-effective secondary drive unit (front motor) that delivers the exact same performance but significantly lowers the entry point for the extended-range battery. Because of this, buyers are getting nearly a $5,000 battery value at a significantly lower price point compared to previous years.

2027 Starting MSRP Breakdown:

  • Select (Rear-Wheel Drive): $39,995

  • Select (All-Wheel Drive): $42,995

  • Premium (Rear-Wheel Drive): $42,995

  • Premium (All-Wheel Drive): $45,995

  • GT (All-Wheel Drive): $50,095 (A price drop of over $2,300 from last year)

The All-New Trail Package

For drivers who want to take their EV down dirt roads and trails to remote lakes or campsites, Ford is introducing the Trail Package. Exclusively available on the AWD Select trim for just $2,295, this package borrows heavily from the Mach-E Rally without requiring you to pay GT prices.

Trail Package Features:

  • Specially Tuned Suspension: Includes front and rear passive struts and springs for better off-road handling.

  • Increased Ride Height: Raised by 10mm in the front and 15mm in the rear to clear rocks and debris.

  • Rally Steering Rack: Ported directly from the Mach-E Rally for precise dirt road handling.

  • Rugged Wheels & Tires: 19-inch high-gloss dark carbonized gray wheels wrapped in 235/55R19 Michelin CrossClimate2 all-season performance tires.

  • Exterior Styling: Features Mach-E Trail side graphics, a body-colored upper front fascia, and a black molded-in-color lower fascia with carbon black inserts.

  • Pro Power Onboard: Comes standard with the Trail Package, providing 400-watt (110V) outlets behind the center console and in the cargo area.

  • Interior Touches: A subtle Mach-E Trail Debossed logo sits on the center console armrest.

  • Bonus Points: Buyers receive a massive bonus of 100,000 Ford Rewards Points (on top of the standard 22,000), which can easily be put toward accessories like a roof rack.

Note: The Trail Package cannot be combined with Rear-Wheel Drive or the Select Black Package.

Exterior and Interior Feature Updates

Beyond the battery and the Trail Package, Ford has subtly streamlined and adjusted optional equipment across the lineup:

Exterior Updates

  • Standalone Paint Protection: A new factory paint protection film is now available as a standalone option across all series.

  • Premium Wheel Swap: Last year's optional Sinister Bronze wheels on the Premium trim have been discontinued. They have been replaced by a wheel with the same design but with Carbonized Gray painted pockets (still priced at $995).

Interior & Technology Updates

  • Pro Power Onboard: This is now an available option on the Premium and GT trims.

  • BlueCruise 1.5: Ford's updated hands-free driving system is optional on the Select and Premium trims (requires the Tech Package Lite on Select, and the full Premium Tech Package on Premium).

  • Security Package: Is still standard equipment but Ford added a one-time purchase option. If you want smart theft alerts, start inhibit, and stolen vehicle services, the one-time purchase (around $595) covers seven years.

  • Select Trim Removals: "Phone as a Key" is entirely unavailable on the Select trim for 2027. Additionally, the keyless entry keypad has been removed as standard equipment on the Select (now optional) but remains standard on the Premium and GT.

Bundle Discounts

Ford is offering incentives for bundling specific packages this year:

  • Adventure Discount Package (Select Trim): If you order the new Trail Package alongside the Interior Protection Package, you get a $500 MSRP discount.

  • Sun and Style Discount Package (Premium Trim): Pairing the Sport Appearance Package with the Panoramic Roof Package yields a $500 discount.

The 2027 Ford Mustang Mach-E shapes up to be an incredible value proposition, giving buyers a massive battery upgrade right out of the gate and introducing a highly capable off-road package without breaking the bank. By Tim Bartz, Ford Video Guy Here is a complete breakdown of what’s new and what’s changing for the 2027 Ford Mustang, based on the recent order guide updates. If you are looking to place an order, the banks are officially open, with production set to begin in mid-January. The Big Addition: Darkhorse SC Convertible The most significant addition to the 2027 lineup is the introduction of the Darkhorse SC Convertible trim level. Because it is a completely new configuration, it gets several dedicated features you won't find on other models: Brembo Brake Calipers: Finished in Silver Argento with black logos. Suspension: A uniquely tuned MagneRide damping system specifically for the convertible. Aerodynamics: A reduced drag rear spoiler and a unique carbon fiber hood vent. Trim Levels & Pricing Changes Pricing has seen a bit of a shakeup across the board, with several trims actually seeing price drops. (Note: All prices are before the new $2,000 destination charge). Trim Level 2027 Pricing Change from 2026 EcoBoost Fastback $33,095 -$100 EcoBoost Convertible $40,790 +$350 EcoBoost Premium Fastback $36,445 +$100 EcoBoost Premium Convertible $41,945 +$100 GT Fastback $47,800 -- GT Premium Fastback $52,080 -- GT Convertible $57,580 -- Darkhorse $64,080 -- Darkhorse Premium $69,080 -- Darkhorse SC Fastback $103,590 -$100 Darkhorse SC Convertible $121,490 New for 2027 Exterior & Interior Updates Ford has adjusted both the color palette and some standard interior features for the 2027 model year: New Colors: Precision Purple is a brand new color for the year (available on trims), Incognito Green is available exclusively on the Darkhorse SC, and Argon Blue is available only with the Darkhorse Appearance Package. Discontinued Colors: Vapor Blue and Blue Ember have been removed from the lineup. Interior Materials: Front floor mats (in black) are back to being standard equipment after being optional last year. On the EcoBoost Premium (200A), the soft door rollover has been downgraded to a hard door rollover. Discontinued Features: The Emberglo interior option has been deleted. Upgraded Tech & Safety Features Safety tech gets a significant boost across all 2027 Mustangs, becoming standard equipment regardless of trim: Blind Spot Assist: Upgraded to include steering intervention. If you try to merge into a lane where a car is detected, the system will apply steering resistance to keep you in your lane. Clear Exit Warning: If you are parked on the side of the road, the car will warn you not to open your door if it detects approaching traffic or cyclists. Intersection Assist: Standard on all series, this system will automatically apply the brakes if you attempt a turn across an intersection into the path of an oncoming vehicle. Rear Cross Traffic Braking: Now standard, this will actively brake the car if a crossing vehicle is detected while backing up. Connectivity: The vehicle's modem has been upgraded from 4G to 5G. Ford Security Package: A new package that includes features like smart inhibit and theft alerts. It comes with one year of free activation, with an optional 7-year subscription. What's Been Removed? What's New for 2027 Ford Ranger

2027 Ford Ranger Order Banks are Open: What's New and Different?

By Tim Bartz, Ford Video Guy The order banks for the 2027 Ford Ranger are officially open! If you are looking to get your hands on the latest model year, you can place your order with your local dealer right now. While the online "Build & Price" tool on Ford's website won't be live until production begins around early January, we already have the full breakdown of pricing, powertrain updates, and packaging changes so you can start configuring your ideal build. Here is everything you need to know about what's new and different for the 2027 Ford Ranger. Trim Levels & Pricing Changes For 2027, the Ranger retains its familiar trim lineup: XL, XLT, Lariat, and Raptor. While base prices have seen minor bumps, there is a surprising drop on the Lariat trim due to some strategic packaging changes. Here are the starting MSRPs (Note: All prices are before the new $1,895 destination charge). Trim Level 2027 Pricing Change from 2026 XL 4x2 $34,020 +$670 XL 4x4 $37,520 +$670 XLT 4x2 $36,340 +$465 XLT 4x4 $39,840 +$465 Lariat 4x2 $42,725 -$1,030 Lariat 4x4 $46,225 -$1,030 Raptor $57,210 -$140 Note: Long McArthur Ford is currently taking orders at invoice pricing across the board, including the highly-coveted Ranger Raptor. Powertrain Changes: Enter the 3.0L EcoBoost V6 One of the biggest announcements for 2027 is the powertrain lineup. The 2. 3L EcoBoost with auto start/stop returns as the standard workhorse, but the optional 2. 7L engine has been officially retired. Replacing it is a new optional 3.0L EcoBoost V6 engine, available on both the XLT and Lariat trims. This upgrade will cost an additional $2,500 over the base engine. Although we don't know actual numbers yet, it's expected to less than last year's Raptor number which were 405 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. The Ranger Raptor, of course, continues to feature a specially tuned High-Output (HO) version of the 3.0L V6. Interior Tech & Standard Upgrades Across the Board Ford is bringing more standard technology and comfort to every single Ranger model for 2027: Bigger Screens: The old 10-inch center screen is gone. A massive 12-inch center display is now standard equipment on all trims, including the base XL. Climate Control: Because of the new 12-inch screen setup, Dual-Zone Climate Control is now standard across the entire lineup. Ford Connectivity: The Ford Connectivity package is now standard on all vehicles, running on an upgraded 5G modem (up from 4G). There is also a new 7-year one-time purchase plan available for unlimited Wi-Fi, navigation, and audio streaming. Safety Tech: Intersection Assist and the Lane Keeping System (aid/alert) are now standard on all trims. Exterior Colors & New Appearance Packages If you want your Ranger to stand out, you have some new styling options to consider. Color Changes: Discontinued: Carbonized Gray and Velocity Blue are no longer available. New: Neptune Blue, a deep, dark blue seen on the Super Duty and Bronco, joins the lineup. Interior: Space Gray replaces Sandstone as an interior color option on the XLT and Lariat trims. Appearance Packages: Black Appearance Package ($895): The package returns, but with additions. It now includes graphic decals (with a delete option if you prefer a clean look) and floor liners. Note: The Ford oval emblem will remain standard blue this year; it will not be blacked out. New Bronze Appearance Package ($895): Available on the XLT and Lariat, this includes 18-inch bronze-painted wheels, a black rear bumper, bronze-painted center grille bars, special graphics (with a delete option), and floor liners. Trim-by-Trim Breakdown XL Updates Standard wheels are no longer steel; the XL now comes standard with 17-inch painted wheels. Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is now optional, bringing Adaptive Cruise Control with stop-and-go and lane centering, plus Blind Spot Assist and oncoming automatic emergency braking. Rocker rails with hoop steps are newly optional (requires the FX4 Off-Road package). XLT Updates Say goodbye to gray: The Sport Appearance package is gone. Bumpers, wheels, and grilles that were previously gray are now painted black. LED fog lights have been removed as standard equipment and are now an option. Co-Pilot360 2.0 is standard, adding Blind Spot Assist, Intersection Assist, Post-Collision Braking, and Road Edge Detection. A Power Sliding Rear Window is now available as a standalone option on the 300A equipment group (previously locked behind 301A). Lariat & Raptor Updates (The "Lux" Package Restructure) You might have noticed the Lariat's starting price dropped significantly. This is because Ford removed several premium features from the standard equipment list on both the Lariat and the Raptor to create a lower cost of entry. Removed from standard (now optional): Power folding mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, ambient lighting, driver memory seats, heated steering wheel (Lariat), and the 10-speaker B&O Sound System (Lariat). If you want these features back, you'll need to opt for the new Luxury (Lux) Package, which costs around $1,000. Adding the Lux package to the Lariat brings its price back up to roughly last year's level, but adds a slight premium to the Raptor. Other Lariat/Raptor notes: The Lariat grille changes from chrome bars to "smoke satin," and the wheel lip moldings are painted gloss black. The Raptor gets ActiveX seating material instead of leather, a "premium wrapped" steering wheel, and standard 17-inch black wheels (replacing the previous gray wheels). 2027 Ford Bronco Filson

2027 Ford Bronco Order Banks Are Open: Full Guide to RTR, Filson, and Massive Trim Changes

By Tim Bartz, Ford Video Guy While Ford hasn't launched the build-and-price tool on their website just yet, dealers have the official order guides in hand, and we are actively taking orders. Whether you are trying to squeeze in a final 2026 build or want to be the first in line for a 2027 model, you need to know exactly what has changed. Let's break down the massive powertrain upgrades, the shifting trim equipment, and the highly anticipated RTR and Filson editions. The Main Event: Powertrain & Major Lineup Shifts The biggest news for 2027 is under the hood. The 2.7L EcoBoost engine is gone, entirely replaced by the massive 3.0L EcoBoost V6. Wherever you saw the 2.7L available in 2026, you will now see the 3.0L. That means 380 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque—a massive 50-horsepower improvement for the Outer Banks, Badlands, Heritage, and Filson trims. (The Bronco Raptor retains its high-output tune, now officially called the "High Output EcoBoost," maintaining its 417 horsepower.) Additionally, Ford has expanded Trail One-Pedal Driving to all automatic transmissions, including the 2.3L models. On the exterior, Neptune Blue is a brand-new color replacing the outgoing Velocity Blue. Deep Dive: Trim-by-Trim Changes Ford made some significant packaging adjustments across the board. The Mid Package (across all applicable trims) loses the dashboard dual smart-charging USB ports and remote start, but gains a heated steering wheel. Here is what else you need to know by trim: Base: Base is back in both two-door and four-door configurations. The 4-door Sasquatch now officially lists the rear stabilizer bar on the order guide. You can also now upgrade from steelies to a standalone 17-inch carbonized gray painted aluminum wheel. Big Bend: The Freewheeling package is discontinued. You now have the option for a new smoked truffle cloth seat accent, and the Raptor-style running boards have been removed as an option. You can also upgrade the standard wheel to the same 17-inch carbonized gray painted aluminum wheel that was added to the Base options. Ford also removed the Free Wheeling Package from the lineup this year. Outer Banks: The starting price actually dropped by $1,500! To accomplish this, Ford removed the LED signature lighting, LED taillights, power seats, and leather seats as standard equipment (they are now cloth). The Lux package price increased to $3,825, but it adds back the remote start and USB ports lost from the Mid package. They dropped the leather seats altogether and added a Marine Grade Vinyl seat option that gets the 10-Way Power Driver Seat and 8-Way Power Passenger Seat. Badlands: The Badlands also sees a price drop of about $500. Like the Outer Banks, it loses the standard LED signature lighting, LED Taillamps, and the interior grab handle. However, the Wildtrak package on the Badlands now includes the upgraded 3.0L EcoBoost engine instead of the 2.7L. Ford also added a new Marine Grade Vinyl Seat that includes 10-Way Power Driver Seat and 8-Way Power Passenger Seat. This is the first time Badlands received the power seat feature. RTR Edition ($50,790 starting): This is an incredible enthusiast package. Based on Big Bend equipment (including standard Mid Package), it features standard front and rear locking differentials, a wider high-clearance suspension, and 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels. The biggest steal? A $5,000 RTR Sasquatch suspension upgrade that gets you HOSS 3.0 with Fox internal bypass dampers, 35-inch tires, and a modular front bumper. Filson ($74,995 starting): The absolute peak of off-road luxury. It comes standard with the 3.0L engine, Sasquatch, and Lux packages. It features a completely unique Filson interior, the first-ever painted Sasquatch fender flares, factory power running boards, and the only Bronco seats that are both heated and ventilated (plus a heated second row). The First Edition is limited to an exclusive Iron Sands Copper paint, but the standard Filson is available in most standard colors plus Field Green that isn't available on any other trim. Customer Focus: The Long McArthur Advantage At Long McArthur Ford, we believe in taking care of the Bronco community. That’s why we are offering Invoice Pricing on all 2027 Bronco orders, including the Raptor and RTR (with the sole exception of the highly limited Filson First Edition, which will be MSRP). But we don’t stop there. When you buy your Bronco, Ford gives you access to the incredible Bronco Off-Roadeo experience. We want to make sure you actually get to go, so we will reimburse you up to $1,000 in travel expenses to attend your Off-Roadeo event. You won't find many dealerships taking care of their customers like that. Conclusion & Next Steps The order banks are open right now, and the clock is ticking if you want to secure an early production date. If you want to configure a 2027 Bronco visit our website or give us a call. We’ll be releasing deep-dive build-and-price videos for every single trim level soon, so keep an eye out for those.
